How to adopt
1: Fill out our Application Form!
We want all of our bunnies to find their forever homes and to help us make this happen, we ask that all potential adopters carefully read our Adoption Policy and complete our application form. This form lets us know that you agree to our Adoption Policy and also helps us to see how many people are interested in adopting one or multiple of our bunny/bunnies.
A completed application form is the first step to adopting and approval is required before you can reserve a bunny. We typically respond to all submissions within 24-72 hours, letting you know if you've been approved to adopt from us.
It's important to understand that approval based on the application form does not guarantee you a specific bunny. As our bunnies are homed on a first come first served basis and one you have your eye on might not be available at the time you email us for reservation. Don’t worry if you do not get the bunny of your choice the first go around. Application forms are saved for one year and by staying up to date with our bunnies and following all the adoption steps you can still adopt a bunny/ bunnies from future litters.
2: How to reserve a bunny/bunnies.
Stay up-to-date with our litters and reservation dates by following us on Instagram and visiting our website.
Reservation dates and times for our upcoming litters will be posted on the "Nest Box" page around the time the bunnies reach four weeks old. Each bunny's cost may vary but typically Holland Lops are between $100 - $200 and Plush Lops are between $150 -$350
Once the bunnies reach about 4 weeks of age the bunnies will be posted on our “Available Bunnies” page. At this time to reserve a bunny, please send an email to sweetpeachrabbitry@gmail.com with your preferred bunny choice/choices, if you have more than one, list the bunnies in order of priority. Keep in mind that not all bunnies may be available at the time of reservation. Providing multiple bunny choices can increase your chances of reserving a bunny. If you are interested in adopting multiple bunnies please be clear that you would like to adopt more than one bunny in your email.
All approved homes that have read our adoption policy and filled out the application form on our website will be considered on a first-come, first-serve basis. Once we receive your email, we will contact interested parties in the order of when we received the emails. Our response email will contain information on the available bunny/bunnies and the related adoption fee(s). You will then have 15 minutes to decide and leave a deposit equal to half the adoption fee using Venmo before we move on to the next party.
Currently, we only accept Venmo to receive deposits, so it's important to have your account set up before contacting us.
Once we've received your deposit, we'll send you a confirmation email. We will then schedule a pick-up day and time. If we can meet in one of our locations other than in the white county area (Greenville SC, Charlotte NC, Mooresville NC, Salisbury NC, State College PA, Willow Grove PA, Athens GA, Atlanta GA area, and the occasional other location) our meeting schedules will not be as flexible and we will have a set schedule for meeting dates and times. If we don't currently have any bunnies available for adoption, we recommend checking in with us regularly and staying updated on our Instagram and website for reservation dates and availabilities.
Please note that not all bunnies featured on our Instagram and website will be available for reservation. Sweet Peach Rabbitry reserves the right to first pick of any or all babies from litters produced.
3: Pick Up/Final Payment.
The Go Home Date will be scheduled for when the bunnies are about 8 weeks old. The remaining balance will be paid in cash at pick-up. Please bring the exact amount with you to the discussed meeting location.
Sweet Peach Rabbitry has the right to amend any and all policies and pricing at our discretion without notice.
